Educational project · self-development, education and professionalization

Development Academy

We build technological and educational tools for self-development — knowledge, audio practice and closing gaps in presentation and communication.

Pilot · open intake

Problem

Adults and professionals have domain knowledge but lack repeatable training — weaknesses in presentation, voice, boundaries and discipline undermine their image in real meetings.

Goal

Provide simple audio tools for self-development and professionalization — practice, closing gaps, a better stance in the room and in conversation.

Solution

The programme combines lesson and drill tracks, a technology layer (audio, packs), mentor and educator review, and a small pilot test.

How it works

Lesson: thesis, scenario, formulas, checklist. Drill: theory, A/B scenarios with pause, phrases, recording. Tracks: Unlock Your Charisma, Open Loop, Silent Vault, Zero Excuse.

Your role

  • Adult in self-development — presentation and communication
  • Professional (meetings, talks, difficult conversations)
  • Soft-skills mentor or educator willing to review materials
  • HR or L&D open to a small test
  • Education partner (university, speakers’ club)
  • Volunteer documenting pilot lessons

Development Academy is an educational pilot by the Legacy and Innovation Foundation. We build tools for adult self-development: audio tracks on personal presentation, rhetoric, communication boundaries and discipline. We share knowledge, offer practice (lessons and drills), and help close skill gaps — a more professional stance in meetings and talks.

This is not online therapy and not a paid course on the foundation website. Materials are designed with mentor and educator review in mind. A separate project for families in crisis: Inner Strength Academy.

Who it is for

  • Adults who want to grow personal presentation and communication
  • Professionals closing gaps in voice, rhetoric, boundaries and discipline
  • Specialists and education organisations seeking tools (not a therapy substitute)
  • Partners building a soft-skills development network

First stage

  • Outline of four tracks (names + focus) for review
  • Project card on the foundation website (draft)
  • Assumptions pack for an education partner
  • Decision after feedback — revise, expand or hold public audio release

Foundation’s role

The foundation organises the process: educational need, material prototype, protection of each party’s contribution, small partner test and lessons — following the cycle from need to responsible deployment.

Materials are educational and do not replace therapy or clinical coaching.

How the Academy fits the foundation methodology

The programme follows the same cycle as other pilots: from identifying a need to a small deployment, lessons and responsible scaling.

  1. Need: We establish which simple tools self-development and professionalization lack.
  2. Prototype: We build lesson and drill tracks with a tech layer (audio, packs).
  3. Review: Mentors and educators comment on tone and clarity.
  4. Small test: Controlled listening with an education partner.
  5. Lessons: We revise materials before wider release.
  6. Scaling: Only after the test do we plan wider reach and further tracks.

Action plan

30 days

  • PL/EN project card and graphics (draft)
  • Assumptions pack for education-partner review
  • Agree partnership wording

90 days

  • Fold professional feedback into editing
  • First audio pack for a controlled test
  • Decide whether to revise, combine tracks or widen reach

Where it works

  • A specialist practises a first-impression lesson before a client meeting.
  • A drill participant records a tough-feedback reply and tightens speech boundaries.
  • An L&D partner points a team to educational materials alongside its own programme.
  • A mentor reviews tone and assumptions before wider release.

Partnership

We seek mentors, educators and communication specialists for content review, and L&D / university partners for a small test.

A partner joins an agreed stage (opinion, listening test, participant referral) and does not have to run the whole programme.

We are looking for volunteers and academic partners

Across all foundation projects we seek volunteers for field work, documentation, education, logistics and participant care.

For outstanding candidates we offer placements in every format: on-site, remote and hybrid, as well as research commissions, sponsorship of engineering and master's theses, doctoral work and joint research with universities and student research groups.
